Yashma Patel, MD

Yashma Patel, MD, is an experienced neurologist specializing in multiple sclerosis (MS) management and treatment. Dr. Patel offers comprehensive and compassionate care for her patients at Valley Neurology in Spokane Valley, Washington. She also welcomes patients living with MS throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.

Dr. Patel completed her neurology residency at SUNY Stony Brook in Suffolk County, New York. She continued her education by pursuing a two-year fellowship in neuroimmunology with a focus on adult and pediatric multiple sclerosis. She moved to the Spokane area in 2012, working for Rockwood Clinic as the director of their MS center before transitioning to private practice at Valley Neurology in 2020.

Dr. Patel's practice continues to focus on improving the lives of people living with MS through treatments designed to slow the progression of the disease, management of symptoms, and changes in lifestyle. 

Dr. Patel and Valley Neurology are recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) as a Partner in MS Care. In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her toddler.
