Wade Steeves, MD

Wade Steeves, MD, is a general neurologist at Valley Neurology PLLC in Spokane Valley, Washington. Known as the Headache Guy, Dr. Steeves treats headaches and facial pain full-time.

After completing his neurology residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, Dr. Steeves relocated to the Spokane Valley area to work at MultiCare Rockwood Clinic. 

After four years of providing general neurology care, Dr. Steeves narrowed his scope of practice, focusing exclusively on headache and facial pain management. In 2019, he transitioned to private practice, opening Valley Neurology PLLC.

Dr. Steeves is currently the only neurologist in the region who focuses solely on headache management, providing headache relief to those living in and around Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. 

Though much of his care involves managing migraines, Dr. Steeves treats all headache types and facial pain. If a patient has any pain or unusual sensation above the neck, Dr. Steeves can treat it. To this end, Dr. Steeves is proactive in keeping up with the latest advances in headache management and migraine care and has access to cutting-edge data. 

Since 2018, no less than six new prevention therapies and four new acute medications have been made available for migraine sufferers. These newer treatments tend to have higher efficacy and fewer side effects than older treatments. He finds it very rewarding to see lives improved with these latest remedies.

When not at the office, Dr. Steeves enjoys spending time with his family, biking, skiing, woodworking, reading, and traveling.
